I hope your Summer has been well. Our Fall semester will begins on Monday. To prepare for the upcoming semester Student Activities Board is planning events for the upcoming semester and would like to have R.I.S.O’s at the Get IT! event on September 7 & 8. The Get IT event is designed as an involvement fair showcasing the ways students can engage with the HCC campus and community. We want your organizations to be able to use this as a chance to recruit members, publicize your cause and connect with the campus.

Re-certification for Fall
R.I.S.O’s who have not recertified their status for Fall 2016-Spring 2017 should do so as soon as possible. It MUST be complete and approved before submitting proposals for funding. If your RISO has not changed any members, advisior(s) or made any changes to your constitution you will not need to fill out a new application. You may follow the quick steps below.

NO CHANGES
To expedite the approval process for Fall 2016- Spring 2017 email hccsld@hawaii.edu w ith a message stated as follows:

and this will be the starting process towards approval.

Important
Completed application and supporting documents must be received before September 19, 2016 for those who will be seeking fiscal support/funding.

If your club will not be requesting funds, completed application with documents should be submitted before September 22, 2016.

You will be required to attend RISO/CSO Training (general reminders about operating on campus) and Fiscal Training (understanding funding requests and spending). We are repeating each training three times to give you multiple opportunities to attend.

You are welcome to join us at any of the dates below. Your organization should send as many leaders as you can, so that everybody understands the rules and responsibilities. At least one advisor is required to attend Fiscal Training for organization that will be requesting funds.
